HISTORY OF SPIRIT OF GOD ACCELERATED EDUCATION
For 11 years, parents in the Spirit of God Fellowship transported their children to South Holland, Illinois so they could receive a good Christian education. Some positioned themselves before the Lord, expressing their need for such a school here in Gary. Spirit of God Accelerated Education was planted under the auspices of Spirit of God Fellowship in the summer of 1989. We began with four day-care students, four teachers and an administrator. Since then thousands have been fed and watered, and the Lord Himself has given a regular and continuous increase in His work through this effort.
The curriculum is phonically based and we use the Abeka Book Program primarily as the foundation of our academic instruction.
We are a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and find a rich rewarding relationship with them and their vision for Christ-centered education.
